| In this section we will provide some material written by James and Pauline on issues for well being in dying such as compassion and dignity in care. We also hope to be able to provide some suggestions for consideration and debate about addressing issues such as patient choice and Assisted dying. | |||||||||||||||

There are a number of current Dept of Health initiatives or pieces of work in progress which we expect to be published later this year (2008). In particular we note the Lord Darzi review of the NHS ‘Our NHS our Future’ which includes a work stream on End of Life and the Dept of Health strategies on End of Life Care and then one on Dementia Care. |
